On September 2nd the U20 world championships will take place. Team USA is sending a strong team to represent the country. One guy I look forward to watching most is Bo Bassett. Bo is a phenomenal wrestle who has dominated almost every tournament in high school. He can easily go anywhere he wants to wrestle in college and probably make NIL money off of it as well. I think Bo will have some good matchups at the U20's but I think his pace and his mindset will be able to out work any opponent he runs into. He lives by his work ethic and he calls it #Machinegunmindset. This kid is out for blood and will be very exciting to watch this weekend.

 For this post I would like to talk about recent news with AJ Ferrari. AJ has won the NCAA title in the past at 197 pounds in 2021 at Oklahoma State. The year following he was injured in a car crash and charged with sexual assault. He has always been a hot head on the mat and been very physical and the opposite of a fan favorite. He wrestled at Iowa last year and there were rumors he was going to join the team but once he fought his own teammate Iowa didn't want him. He just committed to Cal State Bakersfield as he hopes to win his 2nd NCAA title. I don't mind him not going to a super big team as he has lost all his chances to do that. I don't think this is where he thought his wrestling career would be after a freshman year title. 

For my first post on this blog I wanted to talk about the Olympic wrestling that just happened and how I thought Team USA preformed. This is the 2nd year the women's wrestling looked really impressive and took 2 of 6 gold medals. Amit looked really impressive and has now accomplished every torunament you can as a Women. The men's freestlye wrestling look awful and underpreformed. Although the word was that this was one of the best teams they did not live up to that hype. I hope they change to whatever Japan did because they were the stars in this years olympics. 

As this is my first blog, I wanted to take the time to explain what topic I would be writing about and why I chose it. I have grown up in the wrestling community and wrestled for 13 years so I have many opinions on the international and collegiate wrestling actively happening. I figured this would be a good spot to talk about it. My favorite team is Ohio State as I know many people who have wrestled there from my area. I figured I would talk about any transfers that happen or tournaments that take place, as well as my thoughts on the upcoming college season.
